Pointing Therapy

Pointing therapy develops from Chinese Kungfu (martial arts). With this therapy, the practitioner directs qi to the finger and manipulates on the selected points or stimulation line on the body surface. By pressing the exterior, the practitioner actives the interior, which helps unblock qi and blood in meridians and collaterals, balance yin and yang, and reinforce immunity and self-healing system, so that blood circulation be promoted, blood stasis resolved, healthy qi enhanced, pathogenic qi dispelled; consequently, the diseases are cured and the body is built.

Laoshan School of Pointing Therapy and Zhizhen School of Pointing Therapy enjoy great influence in China. Laoshan Pointing Therapy includes pointing, pressing, pinching, patting, rapping and manipulation techniques and is indicated for all kinds of paralysis and pain in the neck, shoulders, lower back, and legs. Their project of treating brain damage, brain injury sequelae, and incomplete cervical spinal injury sequelae won the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology. Zhizhen Pointing Therapy, also known as Yang-restoring, or blood-activing and meridian-unblocking, can be applied to quickly adjust the qi and blood circulation of the whole body. Li-Lin Pointing Therapy

Chaoxiong Lin and Guiping Li followed Lihui Jia, a master from Laoshan School of Pointing Therapy, and Yutang Yao, a master from Zhizhen School of Pointing Therapy. In their forty-nine years of clinical practices, they have treated over 300,000 patients. With practice, they gradually improved the theoretical system of this therapy, standardized acupuncture manipulation techniques, carried out research on indications of Pointing Therapy, and formed Li-Lin Pointing Therapy. Professor Lin has taught students of over 500 classes in not only Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, but also in other places, domestic and foreign.
